Product Description

Standard injection molding is a reliable production method for custom plastic parts that need repeatable dimensions, stable surface quality, and consistent performance across medium and high-volume orders. We support mold development, material selection, trial molding, production runs, secondary finishing, and final inspection for industrial plastic components.

This service is suitable for plastic housings, covers, brackets, connectors, functional components, appliance parts, automotive plastic parts, electronic enclosures, medical device components, and other custom molded parts made from engineering thermoplastics.

Materials We Commonly Mold

Manufacturing Process

  1. Review drawings, 3D files, material requirements, tolerance needs and annual quantity.
  2. Confirm mold structure, gate location, shrinkage allowance, surface finish and production feasibility.
  3. Prepare material drying, machine parameters, mold temperature and injection pressure settings.
  4. Run mold trial samples and check dimensions, appearance, flash, sink marks, warpage and assembly fit.
  5. Adjust tooling or molding parameters before batch production.
  6. Inspect finished parts, pack by customer requirements and prepare shipment.

Typical Applications

Our standard injection molding service is used for automotive plastic parts, consumer product housings, electronic device enclosures, industrial equipment components, medical plastic parts, packaging accessories, appliance parts, fixtures and custom OEM plastic components.

Example Project

A customer needed a durable ABS housing for an electronic control unit. The part required stable screw bosses, a clean outer surface, consistent wall thickness and repeatable assembly fit. We reviewed the 3D file, adjusted rib and boss details for molding, confirmed ABS material, produced trial samples, checked dimensions after cooling, and optimized molding parameters before batch production. This reduced warpage risk and improved assembly consistency.

Quality Control

What We Need for a Quote

To quote your injection molded plastic part accurately, please send a 3D drawing, 2D drawing if available, material requirement, surface finish, color, estimated quantity, tolerance requirements and any assembly or testing standards. If you are not sure which plastic material is suitable, we can recommend options based on strength, temperature, flexibility, chemical resistance and cost.

FAQ

Can you help choose the plastic material?

Yes. We can recommend ABS, PP, PC, POM, PA, TPU, TPE or other engineering plastics according to strength, flexibility, temperature resistance, appearance and cost requirements.

Do you support small batch injection molding?

Yes. We can support mold trial samples, small batch production and larger production runs. For very early prototypes, 3D printing or CNC machining may be faster before opening a mold.

Can you mold parts with threaded inserts?

Yes. Depending on the design, we can support insert molding, post-installed threaded inserts, tapping, drilling and assembly operations.

What causes warpage in injection molded parts?

Warpage is usually related to uneven wall thickness, material shrinkage, poor gate location, cooling imbalance or molding parameters. We review the design and process conditions to reduce these risks before production.
