We offer painting, pad printing, silk screening, laser engraving, UV coating, clear coating, electroplating (on plateable resins like ABS), and flame or plasma surface activation. The right finishing sequence depends on the base resin, desired appearance, durability requirements, and whether the part must meet any chemical resistance or adhesion standard.
Polyolefins (PP, PE) have very low surface energy, which causes paint or adhesive to bead and fail to wet the surface. Flame treatment, plasma treatment, or chemical priming oxidizes the surface and raises surface energy, improving adhesion of primers, inks, and adhesives. Without activation, paint adhesion on these materials will fail in service.
